Grafton, Sierra Leone

Last year, Pamela Cressman Bolick visited Grafton, Sierra Leone and she took puppets with her on her journey. Here are the faces of the children that received these love gifts.  I am posting the pictures that she took and captions from Facebook.

"Just a broad view of the kids in Grafton, Sierra Leone that you blessed with puppets! They may have hardships, but they know how to worship!

"Love this shot of the children from Grafton with their new puppets - they were so excited to know that people in America cared enough to remember them. They told me they'd use their puppets to tell others about Jesus, and to help them remember how much Jesus loves them!

Grafton is a village comprised of former child soldiers, former "bush wives", war wounded and polio victims. It became the "dumping ground" for the unwanted. But Jesus wanted them - and is reaching out to them with His love in powerful ways, through Joshua International Ministries, and through Puppets for Orphans. Such a blessing to be able to deliver the puppets to them!"

"This is one of my little friends from Grafton Village in Sierra Leone who was showing off his puppet. It's very hard to get children to smile for the camera in Salone (that usually happens right AFTER you take the shot - timing I guess!) - but he was so very excited!"
